Newton school board approves $2.1 million gym renovation at Thomas Jefferson Elementary

The board voted 6-1 Tuesday to move forward with the project, which includes a new HVAC system, updated flooring, and ADA-compliant restrooms. Construction is expected to begin in late July and wrap up before the fall semester.
